Job Summary:The Senior Equipment Coordinator/Manager holds a strategic position as the Architect's senior representative for Fixtures, Furniture, and Equipment (FFE) within the design-build framework for healthcare facilities.
This role requires a seasoned professional to lead and elevate the collaborative efforts between design-build contractors, healthcare partners, and the architectural team. The focus is on driving excellence in processes and communication, ensuring the successful integration of equipment solutions into innovative healthcare designs.Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Process Leadership:
- o Assume a leadership role in overseeing and optimizing FFE processes within client teams, design-build contractors, and healthcare partners.
- o Proactively identify and address any delays or issues in the equipment procurement process, taking decisive actions to ensure seamless progress.
- o Empower the Parkin FFE team to lead and manage processes, ensuring a high level of efficiency and adherence to project timelines.
- Advanced BIM Integration:
- o Play a pivotal role in BIM integration, collaborating closely with planners and BIM modelers to enhance project documentation.
- o Provide advanced expertise in locating and supplying appropriate cut sheets for equipment-specific items, contributing to the precision of collaborative teams' BIM models.
- Liaison and Coordination:
- o Act as the primary strategic liaison between collaborating teams and the Architect, fostering effective communication and coordination.
- o Formulate and execute strategic coordination strategies with equipment vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality shop drawings aligned with project specifications.
- User Group Meetings (UGMs):
- o Take a leadership role in User Group Meetings (UGMs) to drive equipment discussions.
- o Present advanced insights through cut sheets, facilitating a deep understanding of specified equipment, and managing feedback and changes effectively.
- o Ensure that all changes are strategically communicated and coordinated with collaborating teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Extensive experience and a proven track record in senior-level equipment coordination within healthcare facility design.
- In-depth understanding of design-build delivery models and the strategic optimization of related processes.
- Proficiency in advanced BIM tools and a demonstrated ability to navigate complex BIM channels.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to strategically manage and optimize complex processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Understanding of healthcare operations and workflow to inform equipment planning decisions.
- LEED certification or knowledge of sustainable design principles is a plus.
