CLINICAL LEAD- Community Outreach and Support Team (COAST)
Hours of Work: 35 Hours per week

Purpose of the Position:
The COAST team provides intensive case management and assertive community treatment for people with serious mental illness. The Clinical Lead is a senior clinician and leader within the designated service. The Clinical Lead is a leader within the organization. The Clinical Leader provides clinical supervision, operational support, and leadership for the day-to-day operations of designated services, ensuring high quality and consistency of services that supports the mission, vision, core values and principles of the organization under the direction of the Program Manager and policy.
Education and Qualifications:
- Preferred qualifications include a masters level post-secondary degree in Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work, or equivalent degree.
- Current registration and in good standing with one of the following Colleges: College of Nurses Ontario (CNO); College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO); College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO); College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPBAO); College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO); or Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW).
- A minimum of 2 years full-time experience with mental health and substance use service provision applicable to the requirements of the position.
- Knowledge of case management principles, awareness of the Assertive Community Treatment model/Standards of Practice and the embodied values and beliefs that coincide with Psychosocial Rehabilitation/Recovery
- Knowledge of Ontarios Early Psychosis Intervention Program (EPI) standards and practices.
- Clinical consultation and supervision experience, including case consultation and documentation preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of current best practice as required by the position.
- Knowledge of current provincial mental health policy applicable to the position.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as cooperatively within a team environment in a rural setting.
- Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, the Internet, and data management software.
- A willingness to serve clients within the communities of the District of Muskoka and Parry Sound.
- A valid Ontario G or G2 drivers license and a safe and reliable means of transportation.
- May be required to transport staff and/or clients of the Agency and therefore you are to hold a valid Ontario G or G2 drivers license, have a reliable means of transportation and appropriate insurance for work purposes on your vehicle with a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability coverage.
- Bilingual in French/English language considered an asset.
- Work schedule may include days/evenings/weekends and statutory holidays.
Salary scale: $38.36 $49.49 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience
