POSITION PROFILE:
The Inventory Coordinator/Service Technician is a hybrid role responsible for managing inventory processes, ensuring efficient order placement, shipment, and inventory tracking, and maintaining optimal stock levels. This position also encompasses providing exceptional service to customers by assisting with technical inquiries and conducting general service on equipment. The position involves timely and accurate deliveries as required.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory Management:
Place orders for low/out of stock inventory items. Monitor usage and requirements in the warehouse weekly
Ship/receive/verify/inventory orders received, put stock away (salt, water, parts, equipment), enter receipts and/or P.O.s into Watertight
Receive incoming product and complete necessary paperwork and computer system entries
Load and offload incoming and outgoing product
Ensure Service Technicians trucks are stocked, replenish parts as required
Perform cycle counts on inventory as scheduled
Identify the need for part numbers and vendors to be added or edited in Watertight.
Prepare ROs (clean and rebuild) and Coolers (clean and sanitize) for installation
Keep warehouse area clean and safe
Perform other related duties as assigned
Service:
Perform basic service of all residential and light commercial water treatment equipment
Complete site pre-inspections for residential equipment installation
Assist customers with technical, parts and equipment questions and any other assistance they may need (water, salt, water softener parts, carry outs, etc.) in person, on the phone or via email
Collection of payment and required signatures at the time of equipment installation or service
Completion of daily paperwork in a timely and legible manner
Maintain contact with the customer to verify arrival times; communicate in a positive manner and maintain positive public relations for the Company
Maintain regular contact with the office for appointment updates throughout the day
Operate company vehicle in accordance with established safety procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned
Deliveries (As Needed):
Deliver products using safe lifting procedures, such as bottled water, salt, water coolers, etc. to residential, commercial, and industrial customers
Use a handheld device to review, verify, and plan the most efficient route for the day
Accurately complete all necessary documentation: load sheet, delivery tickets, update customer delivery information, sales contracts, vehicle inspection logs, etc.
Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of secondary school education is preferred
Forklift certification is required
Ability to build rapport with both customers and internal staff
A basic knowledge of water treatment fundamentals is an asset
Knowledge of Culligan product line (troubleshooting, service, etc.) is a definite asset
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel and Word)
Ability to learn and adapt quickly
Highly organized and detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize simultaneously
Solid problem solving and decision making ability
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills including written, oral and comprehension
A versatile self-starter who displays a high level of initiative, who can work independently as well as in a team environment
Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physically demanding position
Must be able to continuously lift 50lbs
Extended periods of time spent lifting, standing or walking
