We are looking for a Seasonal Golf Services Manager for the upcoming Summer season for our Silvertip Resort at Canmore, Alberta. Position Summary

Reporting to the Head Golf Professional - Golf Services Manager is a middle manager level position where you will be responsible for the bag drop area, cart storage area, driving range and staff members under the Golf Services Department. This position is a key leader of the Golf Operations team whose goal is to exceed and anticipate the expectations of our guests. As a team leader of Silvertip Resort, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment for all employees and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the golf services team, including Starters, Ambassadors, and Golf Services Agents.
  • Recruit, schedule, train, and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Ensure all guests receive outstanding service by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and enhancing their experience.
  • Communicate course conditions, amenities, and policies to guests clearly and effectively.
  • Gather and evaluate guest feedback, providing actionable insights to improve operations.
  • Manage tee sheet operations, ensuring accurate scheduling and optimal course utilization.
  • Work with Ambassadors to monitor pace of play and address delays.
  • Oversee golf equipment rentals, cart fleet maintenance schedules, and course safety protocols.
  • Partner with the Head Golf Professional to implement new initiatives and optimize guest experiences.
  • Assist in organizing and managing golf tournaments, corporate events, and special programming.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure all logistical and operational needs are met.
  • Document and report any incidents or accidents occurring on the course or in the golf services area, ensuring proper follow-up and safety compliance.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed by staff and guests, maintaining a safe environment for everyone.
  • Maintain open communication with departments such as maintenance and food and beverage to coordinate services and address operational needs.
  • Collecting, recording, and distributing gratuities to employees on a weekly basis.

Requirements

  • Driver's license required.
  • 2 years minimum golf course experience
  • Eligible to work in Canada full-time.
  • Lift up to 50lbs occasionally, 30lbs frequently, and 20lbs constantly
  • Capable of operating machinery and equipment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some split shifts, early mornings and late evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Demonstrate professional radio etiquette
  • Follow all Health and Safety procedures
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

Duration: This is a Full-Time seasonal position, April to October. Overtime during busy periods may be required.
