Job Title: Refrigeration Mechanic

Location: 9765 54th Street SE, AB

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of refrigeration principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Setting up new refrigeration systems, including wiring, piping, and other necessary connections.
• Install all refrigeration components
• Brazing of pipe

• Review drawings and understand functionally of compressors

• QC of refrigeration scope, before unit is moved into testing department.

• Perform Start-up and Commissioning of ICE equipmentin the shop.
• Complete Quality checklist
• Test ICE equipment to ensure all functions are working properly.
• Notice potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns.
• Ensuring that all refrigeration repairs and installations comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• R&D projects and development
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Occasionally requires to travel to testing facility or job site due to warranty issues.

Qualifications:

• Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.):
• 4th yr. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification,
• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Red Seal Certificate
• Strong time management skills and organizational skills
• Superior communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Able to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot problems with electrical, air conditioning equipment.
• Able to repair A/C systems, repair leaks, recharge, etc
• Able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various service projects
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Availability to work overtime and out of town work if required.
• Clean drivers abstract and successfully complete a background check
• Require to pass drug test when requested by the customer.
• Comply with Safety policies.
• Electrical and Automation Experience would be an asset
