We are a leading oilfield construction company that provides quality Pipeline Construction, Pipeline Integrity, Facility Construction and Module Construction to western Canada's energy sector.
Position Summary:
The Projects Controller reports directly to the Area Manager and will be required to communicate in a timely manner with both Client/Vendor and corporate management personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Estimating/Bidding: Assist the Project/Construction Manager with sending/receiving/reviewing 3rd party quotes, scheduling, resource allocation, populating estimating templates and bid documentation.
  • Budgeting: Assist the Project/Construction Manager to develop, monitor, and manage project budgets to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Forecasting: Assist the Project/Construction Manager to prepare and update financial forecasts for the project, accounting for changes in scope, timeline, or resources.
  • Project Scheduling: Collaborate with Project/Construction Managers to update schedules and timelines for project tasks and milestones.
  • Change Management: Assist with the financial and schedule impacts of scope changes with the Project/Construction Manager and assist with necessary adjustments and documentation.
  • Resource Allocation: Assist and in resource planning to ensure projects are staffed appropriately.

Skills and Knowledge Required:
  • Project Management Professional Certification or Gold Seal Certification considered an asset
  • Understanding in multi-discipline construction operations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word) and Microsoft Projects

Certifications and Onboarding Requirements:
  • Valid driver license
  • Site specific orientations and training upon hire

Work Conditions:
  • Typically, 5 days per week with the ability to be flexible, working an adjusted shift schedule if required
  • Work will be in the office with some project site visits throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia
