Job Summary

CMHA Ontario is seeking an experienced Community Reintegration Coordinator, Justice Policy for a full-time special funded temporary contract position until March 31, 2026. This position is located in Toronto, Ontario.

The HSJCC Community Reintegration Coordinator will support the operationalization and ongoing activities of the HSJCC Community Reintegration Planning Tables (CRPTs), a partnership between the Provincial HSJCC and the Ministry of the Solicitor General. Working closely with the CRPT Working Group, the Coordinator will provide overall administrative support and coordination to the Planning Tables. The Coordinator will act as the first point of contact for the CRPTs and will liaise with the P-HSJCC Secretariat Team, CRPT Local Co-Chairs, Ministry of the Solicitor General staff, and other key stakeholders as part of the CRPTs work.

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinating meetings which includes managing calendars and appointments, developing agendas and meeting minutes, and following up on action items.
  • Managing confidential materials and assisting with the development of reports, presentations and correspondence.
  • Coordinating engagement with key stakeholder groups during the planning and implementation phases of the local CRPTs.
  • Coordinating the administration of key feedback tools including surveys, interviews, and focus group sessions for the local CRPTs.
  • Providing administrative coordination and support to the CRPT Local Co-Chairs for both the existing case carrying CRPTs and operationalization of newly formed CRPTs.
  • Coordinating ongoing status reports with the CRPTs and providing regular updates to CRPT Working Group.
  • Providing ongoing support to the P-HSJCC Secretariat Team and the Director of Justice Policy with interrelated HSJCC functions including project management support, communications, and public policy work.

Skills & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in public policy, criminal justice, social work, health promotion, or a related field. Graduate degree in public policy, criminal justice, social work, health promotion, or a related field an asset.
  • A minimum of three years experience in administrative support and coordination is required. A variety of skills in administrative support and coordination, including well-developed organizational skills used to meet priorities and deadlines and an eye for accuracy and attention to detail, is required.
  • Experience working in multi-sectoral partnerships and liaising with non-governmental organizations and government agencies is required.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize a variety of tasks is required.
  • Proven computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail software as well as various office equipment.
  • Working knowledge of the mental health and addictions sector and the criminal justice sector, specifically around community reintegration, discharge planning and housing is an asset.
  • Experience working in the community sector is an asset.
  • Familiarity with key concepts of mental health promotion, health equity, and social determinants of health is an asset.
  • Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation tools is an asset.
  • Experience applying judgment, initiative, and discretion when dealing with confidential, legal, and/or sensitive information.

Salary

Hiring Rate: This position pays between $73,520.97 and $75,726.60 per annum, based on a 35-hour work week.

The salary grid for this role ranges between $73,520.97 at Step 1 and $82,748.49 at Step 5. The initial salary offered for this position is anticipated to fall between Step 1 and Step 2 of the salary grid as posted above as the hiring rate.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, temporary (contract) position until March 31, 2026 working standard office hours (currently 35 hours/week). This position isbased in Toronto, Ontario and may require regular travel. We are currentlyoperatingwithin a hybrid model, with colleagues working from the office 3 days/week and from home 2 days/week.

This position is also a desk job with extended periods of sitting, reading, telephone interaction, and working at the computer. This position involves some moderate lifting, shipping, and handling. Attendance at various meetings throughout the workday/workweek will be required; meetings may occur on short notice, depending on the circumstances.

This position is within the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.
