This is a remote 1-year term position.P&H GrainThe P&H Grain Division is a comprehensive grain and crop input network, operating across approximately 45 locations in the prairie provinces and Ontario. Our strategically positioned facilities, including grain elevators, rail sidings, inland terminals, and specialized export terminals, ensure that we effectively match producer grain with the needs of both domestic and export end users. Your RoleReporting to the Head of Information Technology, the Manager of Innovation is responsible for driving digital technological advancements and optimizing business processes to enhance P&H's organizational efficiency and competitiveness. This role involves identifying emerging technologies, leading innovation initiatives, and implementing strategies to streamline operations and improve performance.Day to Day
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for technology innovation and business optimization aligned with organizational goals.
  • Monitor emerging technology trends, assess their impact, and identify opportunities to enhance business processes.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of a digital innovation hub, emphasizing agile development, standardization, and rationalization of digital tools.
  • Drive digital governance processes by prioritizing and approving critical digital investments.
  • Build and nurture a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of digital initiatives.
  • Work with business units to design and implement effective change management and communication strategies for digital transformation.
  • Utilize methodologies like Six Sigma and Lean to identify inefficiencies and enhance business processes.
  • Establish KPIs, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and measure the impact of innovation and optimization initiatives.
  • Champion digital innovation, apply frameworks such as Design Thinking and Lean Startup, and lead R&D efforts to explore and implement new technologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Undergraduate Degree with a specialization in business strategy, technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in technology innovation, business process optimization, project management, and leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • In-depth understanding of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in technology innovation and business optimization.
  • An innovative and disruptive mindset, constantly looking forward for opportunities to enhance digital experiences for users.
