Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Field Project Supervisor - Fire Protection. This hybrid role combines the strategic oversight of projects with hands-on supervision of fire sprinkler construction activities. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in fire protection systems, project management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

• Plan, execute, and oversee fire sprinkler projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to define project objectives and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and manage risks.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders on project status and outcomes.

Fire Sprinkler Construction Supervision:

• Oversee the installation and modification of fire sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality control.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site technical and operational challenges.

Leadership and Collaboration

• Lead and mentor a team of sprinkler fitters and apprentices.
• Provide oversight and guidance to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Act as a liaison between the regional office and on-site teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment.

The qualifications we are looking for in a successful candidate include:

• 3+ years of project coordination experience, preferably Fire Protection Industry.
• Post-Secondary Education in either a fire protection or mechanical related program.
• Previous knowledge and working experience in Procore for project management tasks an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written a must.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
• Fire Sprinkler Industry or Construction Industry experience an asset.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Experience working with Excel, Word, AutoCAD.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willing to travel as required based on the location of current projects.
• Valid Driver's license with a clean record.
