Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Manage a Portfolio: Build your own book of business through proactive B2B cold calling and client outreach.
- Client Engagement: Follow up with both new and existing clients, offer tailored freight solutions, and close deals.
- Business Prospecting: Continuously identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth.
- Rate Negotiation: Effectively negotiate rates with freight carriers to secure competitive pricing for clients.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Operations Management and Logistics Coordinators to exceed client needs and expectations.
Key Attributes:
- Education and Experience: Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity in Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Client Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Motivation and Attitude: Highly driven, self-motivated, and proactive with a go-getter mindset.
