Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Professional in Toronto, Ontario.

Job Title: Security Professional

Location: Downtown Toronto, ON

Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour

Shifts: Evening Shift (1500-2300 M-F)

Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Guard to join our team at Head Office in a corporate security environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of the facility, staff, and visitors. This position requires an individual with excellent administrative, computer, communication, and customer service skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Monitoring and Surveillance: Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems to detect and prevent security breaches.
  • Access Control: Greet and screen visitors, ensuring they follow the proper procedures for signing in and out.
  • Incident Reporting: Document and report incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant details are captured for future reference and analysis.
  • Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact in case of emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or other safety-related matters.

  • Professional Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication through email correspondence with team members and other stakeholders.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to security across all operations.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, inspections, and other relevant documentation for compliance and review.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Excellent administrative and computer skills are a must, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and security management software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in corporate security.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • First Aid and CPR
