Job Summary:
Penta Equipment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bill of Materials (BOM) Coordinator to support our engineering
team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering accurate and detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) data into our MRP system,
ABAS, to ensure smooth and efficient production planning. This role requires an individual who is meticulous, process-driven, and
capable of maintaining high accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Role and Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and update Bill of Materials (BOM) information into the ABAS MRP system, ensuring all parts, quantities, and specifications are correct and up-to-date.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and change requests to ensure BOM data aligns with design and production requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to clarify any discrepancies or changes in BOM details.
- Maintain an organized and accessible file system for all BOM-related documentation.
- Adhere strictly to company processes and standards to guarantee data integrity and avoid costly errors in production planning.
- Conduct regular audits of BOM data to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Assist in troubleshooting BOM-related issues and work with engineering and production teams to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Monitor and track any updates or revisions to BOMs and make necessary changes in the system.
- Provide timely and accurate BOM reports as needed for analysis or review.
Support the Engineering Manager in process improvements related to BOM data management.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
- Previous experience working with MRP systems (ABAS experience is highly preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when entering data.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to established processes and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Experience with engineering or manufacturing environments is a plus.
