Job Description:

Join our team as a Landscape Commercial Estimator! Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting your career, this role offers an exciting opportunity to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for landscape construction projects. Youll work with project plans, collaborate with vendors, and partner with our project manager to ensure estimates align with financial goals and client needs. With pre-built templates and established material and labor rates, the estimating process is streamlined for you. Plus, youll receive hands-on training and support from experienced estimators, helping you grow and succeed in the landscape construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for landscape construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, scaling areas for grading, hardscapes, irrigation, and planting.
• Submit bids on time, track bid results, and maintain a pipeline of upcoming projects.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project goals, budgets, and timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and all related documentation.
• Assist with job costing analysis post-project to improve future estimates.
• Utilize pre-built templates for material and labor rates to streamline the estimating process.
• Receive training and support from experienced estimators to develop a deeper understanding of landscape construction processes and costs.
  

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in estimating, preferably in landscape, construction or related fields.
  
• Proficiency using Plan Swift, Bluebeam or other related software for digital takeoffs and estimation tools.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
• Tech-savvy and proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office, PDF tools and other applications..
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and organization skills
  
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy in estimating, scaling, and other task
  

• Valid BC Drivers License Class 5

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with using LMN estimation is an asset
• Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, techniques, and industry trends is an asset
  
• Knowledge of local landscape standards (e.g., BCNLA) and environmental regulations.

Working Conditions :

• The Commercial Estimator will work primarily in an office environment but will need to conduct site visits as required to gather information for estimates.
