Job Summary

The RM Auto Group is looking for a Junior Financial Analyst to join our team! The successful candidate is a data-oriented individual with expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel. They are a problem-solver with a can-do attitude. The Financial Analyst has a high attention to detail and is able to produce detailed reporting with a high degree of accuracy and on a timely basis. Key Responsibilities

Daily Reporting

  • Prepare and distribute of daily reports to management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Weekly Reports and Analysis:

  • Reports analyzing areas of opportunity and risk across the organization.
  • Used car analysis providing insight on the current stock mix and units purchased.
  • Analysis of Key KPIs across departments.

Monthly Reports and Analysis:

  • Preparation of the RM Auto Group financial summary.
  • KPI reports for departmental meetings (new car, used car, parts, and service departments).

Annual Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the annual budgeting process.
  • Assisting with the year-end process.

General & Other Responsibilities

  • Produce reports for management by exporting data for the dealership software. This includes V-auto, AIM, and PBS systems
  • Produce ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Map out key processes across departments.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of our primary operating systems PBS, V Auto, AIM, AutoVance.
  • Staff Onboarding/Offboarding: Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing staff, including paperwork, system access, and orientation.
  • Dealer Website Setup: Assist in setting up new staff on dealer websites, ensuring proper access and permissions.
  • Annual Government Filings: Manage the preparation and submission of annual government filings, such as FCAA and ISC.

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Accounting or finance diploma or degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of office accounting systems and experience with computer systems.
  • Knowledge of PBS systems is an asset.
  • Previous automotive experience is an asset.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT:

  • Informal: Coaching will be provided as necessary to ensure the success of the employee.
  • Formal: Job suitability and performance will be formally reviewed and evaluated annually in conjunction with the employees service anniversary date. Growth areas will be addressed, and a respective training and development plan will be crafted and facilitated.
