One of our manufacturing clients in Niagara Falls, ON region is looking for a Quality Engineer for their facility.

Shift - Day Shift

Pay - $110K - $120K

Key Responsibilities
  1. Quality Control and Assurance:

    • Monitor and inspect production processes to ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems, procedures, and documentation.
    • Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
  2. Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis:

    • Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Use root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams) to identify and resolve defects.
  3. Compliance and Audits:

    • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements (ISO, GMP, etc.).
    • Participate in internal and external quality audits and provide necessary documentation.
  4. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Collect and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
    • Prepare and present quality reports to management.
  5. Continuous Improvement:

    • Lead or participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement projects.
    • Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
  6. Customer Collaboration:

    • Work closely with customers to address quality concerns and specifications.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering defect-free products.
  7. Training and Development:

    • Train production staff on quality standards, tools, and best practices.
    • Foster a culture of quality awareness within the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the packaging industry.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D).
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory requirements relevant to packaging.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.
