Job Summary:

Currently Ainsworth Inc. is seeking an experienced, energetic and driven Project Manager with strong customer service skills to join our Electrical Service /small projects Team in Surrey BC.

The Service Project Manager performs a wide range of duties including estimating small projects and repairs, managing service work orders and project process flow including scheduling, invoice closeout and customer satisfaction follow up. This position works closely with the Electrical Service Manager and Ainsworth Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential business opportunities
  • Maintain strong relationships with Suppliers, Consultants, General Contractors and End Users.
  • Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
  • Manage project and work order financial performance.
  • Estimate project costs and submit tenders.
  • Estimate scope changes.
  • Purchase materials and equipment.
  • Work with the Service Manager, Coordinators, and Service Electricians to develop service work and small project scheduling.
  • Manage the project and be present on project sites on a regular basis
  • Ensures the required paperwork is completed so the work order or project is billed out and Ainsworth is paid.
  • Review work order and project reports
  • Arrange for project manuals/Power quality reports to be completed
  • Ensure that all deficiencies are completed by the Service Electricians in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that as-built drawings are completed and sent to the Customers as required.
  • Review work orders and projects at completion with the service and Electrical Foreman to improve performance and revenue targets.

Qualifications:

  • Any one of the following: electrical red seal certification, electrical engineering degree or electrical technologist diploma/certificate. An FSR-A or B certification would be considered an asset.
  • 2-3 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating
  • Previous experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid Pro would be considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Word, Bluebeam, outlook/email management.
  • Basic knowledge of power quality scope such as thermal scanning, power factor, load management, electrical vault maintenance, repairs, and data logging.
  • Salary to be based on experience

The annual gross base salary range is $90,000 - $125,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the Ainsworth total compensation package, which includes short-term incentives, multiple health insurance options, and life insurance, to name a few!
