Job description

Our client, a growing multi-service firm, is looking to add an experienced Corporate/Commercial lawyer to their team in Mississauga. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, a strong dedication to excellence, and a deep commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

Your new role

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional client service through effective communication, legal advice, negotiations, and drafting. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and drafting agreements and other corporate/business documents. You will manage all aspects of transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, sales, reorganizations, and financings. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive corporate legal advice on matters like corporate formation, structuring, amendments, amalgamations, dissolutions, and annual maintenance. You will also draft and review commercial contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

What you will need to succeed

To be eligible for this position, you should have at least 5+ years of post-call experience, with a strong background and interest in advising entrepreneurs and managers on both daily business operations and significant transactions. You should excel under pressure, efficiently manage priorities, and consistently meet deadlines. Additionally, you should demonstrate strong teamwork skills, trustworthiness, accountability, proactivity, and a positive work attitude.
