About the Role

The Quality Assurance Technician for our Composites facility ensures that parts, products, and assemblies are compliant and conform to the requirements of the Steelhaus Quality System, requirements of the customer and product specification, and related manufacturing, assembly, release of product, and shipping/receiving.

Position Details

Status:3-month Contract

Available Shifts: Graveyard Shift (Mon - Fri, 10pm - 6am)

Location:Calgary, AB (NE Area)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection and marking of manufactured and tested tool assemblies using the Steelhaus SIR WebApp.
• Verify test data results are within acceptance criteria requirements issued by engineering including FAT results, Assembly acceptance criteria.
• Perform Technical Receiving activities to ensure received materials and components meet Steelhaus Technologies Engineering Specification requirements for materials and processes, including:
  • Raw materials
  • COCs referencing engineering requirements
  • Testing results as required.
• Release parts and components from Q-Stop after verification of product requirements.
• Initiate Nonconformance Reports where requirements are not met using the Steelhaus NCR WebApp.
• Perform dimensional inspection of machined components using calibrated tooling, including:
  • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • MRPs
  • Hand gauges.
• Review, approve, and upload material and service certificates in accordance with Quality Assurance records requirements.
• Responsible for maintaining emails, photocopying, printing, maintenance of consumables, etc.

Required Abilities, Knowledge, Experience

• 2+ years experience following procedures and completing records of activities.
• 2+ years experience in a machine or assembly shop environment.
• Able to demonstrate experience using a variety of hand inspection tools.
• Able to demonstrate working knowledge of:
  • Management System Procedures
    • Instructions
    • Forms in compliance.
• Able to demonstrate basic computer skills (MS Office).
