A full-time position for a Technologist with our Interior Design Studio is now open for a qualified candidate to join our team!

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for more than a checklist of experience, we are hiring for attitude, drive, and people skills.

Strong organizational & communication skills, ability to work well in a team & individual environment are essential in order to meet some hectic deadlines

Knowledge of interior construction & drawing detailing a requisite

Applicants must be creative & multi-disciplined in all aspects of a project

This position involves start to finish design development, drawing & project implementation for some very unique projects.
Your Capabilities and Credentials and Qualifications:

• Interior Design Degree or diploma from an Accredited Interior Design Program is required
• 5+ years of experience in an interior design firm or an architectural office
• Having a design flair harmonized with practical design ability is a huge assest
  
• Hospitality Interior Design experience is preferred, or a strong interest in it
• Knowledge of current design, finishing materials and trends
• Proficient software - AutoCAD and Revit, as well as working knowledge of illustration and rendering programs such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and SketchUp
• Produce Specifications for FF& E
• Good understanding of the Ontario Building Code and life safety issues
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and workflows, and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as with a diverse team of staff and consultants
• Excellent communication skills with clients and team members
• Strong interpersonal skills: Good coordinator, communicator, and collaborator
  
• Excellent organizational skills, able to multi-task and prioritize work while working independently
  
• Excellent technical skills with a meticulous attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Draw from scratch many types of projects from simple to complex
  
• Manage each projects Design Time
• Manage all project aspects from initiation to design close out
• Provide design support to clients
• Select all material finishes with home owner
• Complete all tasks and ensure compliance with company standard processes and procedures
• Occasionally provide conceptual designs, layouts, sketches and space plans to assist sales process
• Manage several projects at a time, touching base weekly with all clients
