Job Summary
In your role as Marketing Strategist at POD Marketing, you're not merely a participant but a pivotal force shaping our brand stories and refining marketing strategies. You're tasked with generating impactful content and leveraging data to ensure consistency across our brands while contributing to the evolution and elevation of our marketing department. Your insights will foster growth and development within the team, as you provide training and drive the continuous improvement of our processes, ensuring our narrative resonates and our tactics remain cutting-edge in an ever-changing digital landscape.
Responsibilities
- Uphold the integrity of each brand by establishing and preserving a consistent tone of voice across all channelsyou're the brand police!
- Craft and implement marketing strategies that bolster organic traffic and cultivate a dedicated audience, using data insights to continually hone these approaches.
- Oversee the production, scheduling, and analysis of content that spans blogs, downloadable assets, emails, web pages, and presentation decks, ensuring quality and alignment with our brand voice.
- Direct our social media strategy, content generation, and analytics, managing a specific budget dedicated to social audience engagement tactics, including post promotions and contests.
- Employ analytical tools to fine-tune performance across various areas, including search engine optimization and social media engagement.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with VPs, department leads, and external stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and collaborative success.
- Handle partnership responsibilities, seek out new marketing ventures, and occasionally travel within North America for event organization and management.
- Train new team members on best practices and protocols, providing valuable insights to improve their performance.
- Support process innovation and documentation, working closely with the Senior Email Marketing Strategist and manager to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in small-scale product development initiatives, contributing ideas and collaborating on implementation.
- Continuously stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure we are ahead of the curve.
Required Experience & Skills
- Legally able to work in Canada and located in Calgary, AB
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in any area of digital marketing
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or client relationship management.
- Exhibits exceptional communication prowess, both in writing and verbal interactions.
- Demonstrates strong project management capabilities, with a track record of handling multiple projects efficiently.
- Skilled in the use of multiple social media platforms, with the ability to engage and grow digital audiences.
- Has a strong analytical acumen, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from data.
- Is a proactive self-starter, enthusiastic about introducing innovative ideas and initiatives.
- Experience in graphic design or video production is highly regarded.
- Familiar with data analysis tools like Google Analytics, providing a competitive edge in strategic planning.
- Proficient with social media scheduling tools, enhancing content planning and execution.
- Has research experience, contributing to informed decision-making and strategy development.
Compensation
Compensation for this role is determined based on your level of education, experience, and proven skills.
Entry Level: $50,000-$55,000
Intermediate: $55,000 - $62,500 (3+ years of direct and relevant experience)
Senior: $60,000 - $70,000 (5+ years of direct and relevant experience)
