Job Overview: As an Operations Dispatcher in the oil and gas industry, you will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, ensuring seamless communication between field staff, customers, and internal teams. You will manage equipment and personnel logistics, troubleshoot on-site issues, and ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols. Your role will be integral in providing exceptional service to clients and ensuring the smooth operation of our field teams.
Responsibilities:
- Review and discuss the previous days events and resolve any ongoing operational issues.
- Coordinate operator and equipment movements, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Take calls from operators and customers, providing solutions to any issues and directing them to the appropriate department.
- Complete daily service reports and maintain accurate records of operations.
- Collaborate with Field Superintendents to address problems in the field and coordinate operator/equipment switch-outs.
- Report incidents promptly to relevant department managers and dispatch Field Superintendents to the site as needed.
- Ensure lodging and accommodations are arranged for operators and Field Superintendents during shifts.
- Prioritize safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations in all operations.
- Create and manage service tickets for operational tasks, ensuring that all work orders are documented, tracked, and updated accurately. Follow through with any required follow-up actions based on ticket status.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in dispatching in the hydrovac industry or operations coordination in the oil and gas industry will be considered a huge asset.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to professionally liaise with operators, customers, and internal teams.
- Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to handle customer service inquiries and resolve issues under pressure.
- Technical Knowledge: Mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Technology: Proficiency with smartphones, GPS, and dispatch software; ability to learn new software quickly.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining filing systems and accurate data entry.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of and commitment to safety practices in the field.
- Education: Relevant certifications or experience in the oil and gas industry (e.g., H2S Alive, First Aid) are preferred.
