You'll lead and inspire teams working on iconic projects, including the Blue Line LRT in Montreal, the Capital Line South LRT Extension in Edmonton, GO Expansion – On-Corridor Works (OnCorr) in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, the Ontario Line in Toronto, and the Gatineau-Ottawa Tramway. Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do
Visionary Leadership:
- Establish and grow a strong organizational structure for our Urban Transportation Service Line in Canada.
- Develop and implement visionary business plans for Light Rail Transit, Bus Rapid Transit, Transportation Planning, and Municipal Engineering.
- Anticipate market shifts and innovations to position Egis at the forefront of the industry.
- Foster synergy across Canadian and international teams, driving cross-collaboration and success.
- Play a key role in M&A activities to propel Egis' expansion and integration.
Operational and Financial Excellence:
- Oversee the executive management of Urban Transportation teams across Canada.
- Collaborate with HR, Commercial, and Operations teams to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Ensure service excellence, efficiency, and cost-effective resource management.
- Maximize the financial success of the service line, with full P&L responsibility.
- Lead operational and budgetary planning with a focus on growth and profitability.
Business Development and Client Engagement:
- Be a trusted advisor and ambassador for Egis, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Identify, develop, and convert leads into transformative projects.
- Spearheaded marketing campaigns aligned with Egis' strategic goals in Canada.
- Lead proposal preparation, ensuring innovative, client-centric solutions.
Technical Expertise and Mentorship:
- Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in Light Rail Transit, Bus Rapid Transit, Transportation Planning, or Municipal Engineering.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers and teams, fostering growth and innovation.
- Ensure designs meet and exceed codes, standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts to deliver exceptional project outcomes.
What You Bring to the Table
- Trailblazing Experience: 20+ years as a Professional Engineer with a proven track record of success.
- Leadership Presence: A leader who inspires teams, clients, and industry peers.
- Technical Expertise: Expertise in Light Rail Transit, Bus Rapid Transit, Subways, Rail System, Transportation Planning & Mobility, or Municipal Engineering.
- Client-Centric Focus: Extensive experience working with public and private sector clients.
- Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of consulting engineering, budgeting, and cost control.
- Business Savvy: Strong business development and marketing skills to drive new opportunities.
- Collaborative Excellence: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Cultural Agility: Bilingual ability in English and French is an asset.
