As a Shop Foreman, you will be an essential part of our team and will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of all P5 projects. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will lead our shop crew in meeting the highest quality standards. You will play a critical role in overseeing day-to-day shop operations, managing production and scheduling, training staff, ensuring quality control, and efficiently managing inventory. This role is crucial to maintaining our commitment to delivering exceptional products and services to our clients.

Wage: $35.00-$40.00 per hour, permanent full time

Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday

What do you need?
Minimum of 4 years experience leading a team in a millwork or similar workshop environment
Journeyperson certification as a Cabinetmaker, Millworker, or in other related trade
Proven strong people management abilities
Effective communicator and strong time management skills
Knowledge of safe operation of hand and power tools
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
Ability to work in a team environment with a minimum of supervision
Collaborative in dealing with customers and fellow employees
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and ERP software
A valid BC Drivers license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance
Knowledge of First Aid and CPR an asset
Key Responsibilities:
Pertaining to General Shop Management, you are accountable for:
Team supervision
Training & professional development
Shop scheduling
Production management & reporting
Inventory management (consumables)
Maintenance of equipment
Maintenance, upkeep (5S) of workstations and the shop in general
Contributing to shop production daily as needed
Safety compliance
Delivery vehicle protocols Logbook, bills of lading, driver checklist
Pertaining to Job Execution, you are accountable for:
Confirming project shipping dates and managing shop schedule to meet ship dates
Distribute work orders to various stations in the shop and instruct staff
Create packing list
Oversee production
Quality control
Oversee packaging, palletizing and outgoing shipments
Oversee and process any rework instructions
