  • Establish software infrastructure and processes for tracking, investigating, and resolving customer complaints including setting up a call centre and 24/7 monitoring, defining workflows, escalation protocols, and service-level commitments.

  • Develop a framework to track warranties, streamline claims, and ensure efficient resolution of warranty-related issues in collaboration with OEMs.

  • Establish and maintain a system to manage spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are strategically stocked and downtime minimized.

  • Identify, assess, and procure diagnostic and maintenance tools to support asset operations effectively.

  • Collaborate with OEMs to design and implement training programs for technicians. Supplement OEM offerings with internal training curricula focused on PowerON's systems and client needs.

  • Oversee recruitment of maintenance crews (apprentices, licensed electricians, etc.), drafting job descriptions, conducting interviews, and onboarding staff.

  • Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and standardized reporting templates to measure asset reliability and maintenance effectiveness, ensuring continuous improvement.

  • Design scalable operational frameworks for scheduling, task allocation, and compliance with industry and safety standards.

  • Develop optimized corrective and preventative maintenance programs for different electrification infrastructure including cost-effective processes, and tracking expenses to maintain profitability.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for asset management product development and process optimization to enhance the PowerON's competitive edge and revenue potential from asset management.

  • Perform site visits, work with third party experts including owner's engineers and equipment OEMs to lead technical root cause analyses for operational issues, and oversee technical troubleshooting efforts.

  • Support other tasks across the company as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education and field training.

  • 8+ years of experience leading operations and/or maintenance teams, preferably in electrification infrastructure.

  • Strong technical expertise in maintenance services for EV charging, battery storage, and associated electrical equipment.

  • Proven track record in recruiting, training, and leading high-performance teams across multiple locations.

  • Knowledge of ISO 55000 Asset Management standards and Asset Management Plan regulations, particularly for municipal infrastructure in Canada.

  • Familiarity with Ontario Regulation 588/17 and 193/21; knowledge of equivalent regulations in other major Canadian jurisdictions (e.g., BC, QC) is an asset.

  • Understanding of public transit agency master specifications related to operations and maintenance.

  • Self-driven and intellectually curious, with a strong interest in electrification and sustainability.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

  • Willingness to travel across Canada to oversee operations and client engagements.
