Sales Manager Construction Equipment

Salary Range
Must have experience with Construction Equipment Sales
10 to 15 years of experience in sales within a relevant field;
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in team management, ideally in sales;
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent;
• Excellent knowledge of the construction market is an asset;
• Sharp analytical skills, effective problem-solving, and the ability to make informed decisions;
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
• Bilingual, both orally and in writing; (an asset)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software
Planning
· Develops the annual sales budget in collaboration with the General Manager.
· Prepares a sales program based on the annual budget, submits it to the President and General Manager for approval, and ensures its implementation.
· Monitors competition, market trends, products, threats, and business opportunities.
· Develops and implements sales strategies.
· Contributes to the development of the company's marketing plan with the Marketing Department.
· Works closely with various strategic departments within the company.
Team Management
· Leads, manages, and motivates the sales department team.
· Evaluates the performance of team members.
· Ensures compliance and consistency in work methods.
· Reviews pricing lists and client policies/guidelines (account opening, credit authorization, discounts, etc.).
· Supervises and actively assists representatives in their client interactions and development efforts.
· Organizes periodic team meetings.
· Follows up on customer complaints and ensures corrective actions are taken.
· Encourages teamwork to create a customer-focused environment and facilitates communication between team members and other departments.
· Ensures the maintenance and evolution of the company's service culture.
· Reviews and approves expenses for all personnel in the sales department.
· Analyzes results and variances from the budget and develops appropriate solutions.
· Performs monthly sales goal monitoring.
Analyzes project performance, ensuring profitability in relation to budgets.
