We are looking for a Food and Beverage Manager for our Golf Resort in the Canadian Rockies. Must relocate to Invermere, British Columbia. Seasonal Job - Start March 1, 2025 to November 30th, 2025.
Responsibilities:
Reporting and Communication:
- Report to the General Manager.
- Provide regular updates to the General Manager on operational performance, guest satisfaction and employees engagement.
- Maintain open communication with the General Manager regarding any challenges or opportunities for improvement.
Guest Experience:
- Providing culinary experience to our guests in line with our service commitment; Service Beyond.
- Monitor guest feedback and resolve complaints promptly, ensuring all concerns are addressed efficiently.
- Exceeding customer expectations by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements; building a relationship with guests.
Team Management and Training:
- Train, coach and supervise front-of-house service staff.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations for staff to ensure high standards of service.
- Approve and manage the weekly staff schedule to ensure adequate coverage.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment, recognizing employee's achievements and addressing concerns promptly.
Operations Management:
- Ensuring smooth operations through the implementation of policies and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor and enforce opening and closing procedures.
- Ensuring the equipment and work areas are clean, safe and in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and clean working environment for staff and guests.
- Leading the Food & Beverage team in executing events, including small weddings and other functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Inventory and Cost Control:
- Manage inventory levels for beverages, and supplies; ensure regular stock checks and reorder when necessary.
- Lead monthly inventory counts on all beverage products.
- Monitor beverage costs, follow cost-control measures, and minimize waste.
- Maintain efficient storage and organization systems for inventory.
Budget and Financial Management:
- Develop the annual food and beverage budget, in collaboration with the General Manager.
- Monitor sales, costs, and profitability to ensure financial targets are met.
- Track and analyze food and beverage revenue, implementing strategies to increase profitability.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED requires. A diploma or degree in hospitality is an asset.
- Driver's license is required.
- Working knowledge of WebRez, Club Prophet and Silverware is an asset.
- Serving it Right Certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 - 4 years of Food and beverage/ Restaurant Manager experience is required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of coordinating Wedding Events experience is required
- Good wine knowledge or a certified sommelier is an asset.
- Should be eligible to work in Canada full-time.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible hours.
- Experience with the restaurant point of sale system is an asset.
- Able to work overtime is a requirement.
- Able to lift, push or pull up to 40Ibs.
- Able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
