About the Organization
This retail establishment is open to the public, offering a wide variety of high-quality new and previously loved items including but not limited to: building materials, appliances, and home furnishings. Inventory originates from a variety of sources, with much being provided by individuals, local businesses, and corporate partners. Proceeds from sales directly support our local community.
You
- Enjoy working with people, including the public, and have a passion for retail sales.
- Have initiative and a creative mindset as well as the ability to execute on those ideas.
- Have at least five years of experience in management, senior-level sales, or marketing within retail or a related field.
- Hold a post-secondary education in business, marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
- Possess the ability to network effectively with local businesses, corporate supporters, contractors, and community members to boost donations and sales.
- Have the management skills needed to lead, mentor and support a productive team.
- Have experience in marketing diverse products through print and online platforms, including social media.
- Have knowledge of home building materials, furniture, appliances, and other home products.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license
- A Police Information Check
- Availability to work full-time from Monday to Saturday
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (not often, but regularly)
- Capability to drive a cube van and operate light machinery (such as skid steers and forklifts; training can be provided)
