The Visitor Services Attendant – Museum Attendant will:
- Assist with reception duties.
- Process admissions, provide customer service, and respond to inquiries
- Lead interpretive tours of the galleries and outdoor displays.
- Assist with summer youth programming at the museum
- Assist with the organization, cataloguing, and storage of the Museum's heritage collection.
- Assist in leading education programs for school groups.
- Maintain the grounds at Weaver Park, such as string trimming, gardening, weeding, and garbage removal.
- Assist in supporting public events.
- Participate in the City of Lloydminster's Safety Management System.
- Other related duties from time to time as required.
- Must be creative, outgoing, and comfortable working with small groups of children in a hands-on learning setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Must be able to effectively and tactfully deal with the public.
- Must be comfortable handling cash, reconciling a cash till, and conducting daily deposits
- An interest in history is considered an asset.
- Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and in unheated historical buildings, and perform manual duties, such as gardening, painting, string trimming, moving equipment, and operating a City of Lloydminster fleet vehicle.
