West Fraser is seeking a dedicated Benefits Administrator for a one-year term to manage all Canadian benefit activities at our Vancouver corporate office. Reporting to the Compensation Manager, this role is essential in providing excellent customer service while overseeing various employee benefit plans to ensure efficient and accurate processing. The Benefits Administrator will also support the daily benefit and HR needs of West Fraser, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
You'll Do:
- Administer the Canadian Salaried benefits program, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
- Primary contact for employee benefits, including enrollment assistance, inquiries and resolving issues.
- Resolve employee questions and issues with adherence to benefit policies and procedures.
- Work with benefit carriers to resolve employee claims, eligibility and plan administration.
- Process and reconcile monthly benefit billings and submit payments to vendors.
- Manage the workflow and approvals for employee salary and job changes.
- Assist HR and Payroll with various administrative duties.
You'll Have:
- 3+ years related work experience as a Benefits Administrator in a large, complex organization.
- Strong understanding of employee benefits programs and applicable laws and regulations
- Experience working with Flex Benefit plans is an asset.
- Strong computer skills, with experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity working with HRIS software systems (UKG preferred)
- Ability to multi-task, balance priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong organization, attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Highly proficient in English
- French reading, writing and speaking proficiency is an asset.
Compensation Package:
- The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The yearly salary range is between Typical hiring range $61,830-$73,000.
