Job Description

Summary:

Borealis deems this position an essential and key role within its organization for its operations and expansion in Canada. The Area Manager would be responsible for Borealiss interest in Central Alberta and report to the Executive Team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support Borealis vision to LPG service excellence in Alberta
  • Manage day-to-day operations of Borealis in the specified area, including but not limited to:
    • Service scheduling and work orders;
    • Trucks, trailers and all equipment logistics;
    • Fuel dispatch;
    • Preventative maintenance on all assets;
    • Parts and equipment inventory.
  • Support the development of Borealis Parts & Services division in Alberta.
  • Help Borealis build and lead a strong service team with skilled labour.
  • Mentor and coach new employees and apprentices.
  • Coordinate new tank installations and tank swap-outs.
  • Participate in weekly operations meetings with the Borealis team.
  • Participate in Business Development activities and initiatives.
  • Participate in community events funded by Borealis.
  • Support the Borealis team in estimating and preparing proposals for new commercial and industrial customers.

Position requirements:

  • Entrepreneurial experience and extensive leadership skills
  • Knowledge of the propane and the LPG industry is preferred
  • Class 3 driver's license with air brake endorsement preferred
  • LPG bulk handling and transport training
  • TDG and WHMIS proficiency (required under Borealis)
  • Proficient with computers and office software
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills.
  • Multitasking and the ability to work with teams.
  • Communication and self-organization skills, and hands-on mentality
  • Attention to detail and a self-starter
