YOUR NEW ROLE AS HVAC ESTIMATOR

By joining our commercial heating and cooling team in this HVAC Estimator role, you receive a consistent schedule of Monday-Friday 7am-4pm.

As an HVAC Estimator with our dynamic commercial heating and cooling team, your day begins by immersing yourself in project blueprints and specifications, gaining a comprehensive understanding of each project's distinctive needs. With a precise grasp of the scope, you expertly calculate material, labor, and equipment costs to create accurate estimates. Throughout your day, you maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating competitive pricing that ensures your proposals stand out and stay within budget. You craft thorough, competitive quotes that align with all project specifications and building codes, guaranteeing that clients receive top-notch, compliant HVAC solutions. A quick site visit in the afternoon enables you to evaluate specific project requirements firsthand, enhancing the accuracy of your estimates. Each day, you propel projects forward with unmatched precision, expertise, and a steadfast commitment to quality.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience in HVAC estimating or a related field (preferably in a construction or mechanical contracting environment)
• Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation methods
• Strong understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards (particularly for the Calgary and Alberta region)
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools (Quote Soft)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates and projects simultaneously
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation

The following qualifications are preferred:

• Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC projects
• Familiarity with energy-efficient HVAC systems and sustainability practices
• Knowledge of the local Calgary market and regional building practices
