SUMMARY OF POSTING
The incumbent is responsible for the supervision and coordination of system commissioning, training clients on the operation of equipment, performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities, and providing on-going technical support for Eco-Tec Inc.'s global network of oil & gas, mining, produced water, and anodizing clients.
The Field Engineering Representative is also responsible for providing supervision and instruction to Production Technicians throughout production and testing phases.
SPECIFIC REPSONSIBILITIES
- Supervise equipment commissioning and coordinate work groups accordingly at customers' facilities. Provide continued support following commissioning and maintain customer relationships.
- Attend Paid Service Calls, prepare field service reports, and complete daily events logs.
- Train customers on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing/Site Acceptance Testing to demonstrate the chemical and mechanical performance of equipment.
- Prepare internal/external commissioning reports, commissioning letters, training materials, and log sheet reviews.
- Provide on-site support and field customer calls to assist in the troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and process problems of equipment. Document significant issues and escalate to relevant departments for review and resolution.
- Review equipment manuals, installation instructions, and related documentation as required.
- Supervise and lead in-house quality assurance testing of equipment and complete quality documentation as stipulated by Eco-Tec's Quality Management System.
- Attend the 1st and 2nd Project meetings to review the equipment design as per policy.
- Set up and conduct the 3rd, 4th, and 5th project meetings following equipment testing, prior to commissioning, and post-commissioning.
- Create procedures and checklists for the commissioning of systems as required.
- Record and resolve Customer complaints and Non-Conformances where necessary as per ISO 9001 procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with the company's Workplace Environment, Health & Safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Attend job-specific training courses required for role (internal/external) and maintain qualifications as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required by the Manager and Supervisor of the Technical Service Department.

SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering or similar Engineering Technologist Diploma, or equivalent work experience.
Experience/Industry Experience:
New Graduate or (3) + years hands-on experience; related industry experience is an asset.
Skills:
Mechanical inclination, analytical reasoning, independent, problem-solving abilities to effectively troubleshoot, self-discipline, excellent interpersonal and communication skills including a strong command of the English language, ability to adapt to various working environments including working independently.
Other:
Extensive travel (75% or more); overtime required; personal vehicle and be in possession of valid driver's license; must be eligible to obtain passport/VISA;
