As our FinancialAnalyst, you will be responsible for performing a variety of financial data analytical work, and assisting the Finance Department with financial reporting and daily accounting duties. Some additional expectations of this role include:

  • Improving financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to management;
  • Performing gross margin analysis;
  • Preparing budgets;
  • Providing analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management;
  • Providing input and helping implement best practices in finance operations
  • Providing financial models and forecasting.
  • Gathering data from various sources to use for analysis and reporting;
  • Supporting month-end close and reporting, including preparation of financial statements and variance analysis;
  • Assisting with internal and external reporting requirements, government remittances, etc.
  • Preparing various GL reconciliations;
  • Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both collaboratively with team members, customers and vendors as well as, independently
  • Ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Strong proofreading and presentation skills
  • Flexibility to address changing situations/priorities
  • Knowledge of various financial management platforms
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office tools is preferred.

Candidate must also possess the following experience and training credentials:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis is preferred.
  • Post-secondary training in Business/ Commerce is preferred.
  • CPA designation will be an asset.
  • Bilingualism in French will be an asset.
