Program Overview
This position will support 2 MLTSD funded bridge training program- ISAGE and READY.
International Skills Applied for Geriatrics (ISAGE) is a program for Internationally Educated Professionals in Healthcare, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Resources and other related licensed occupations delivered in partnership with George Brown College to gain relevant skills and explore alternative careers in the field of Gerontology and Social Services. It offers newcomers an opportunity to gain knowledge of the Canadian workplace, provides access to mentorships and the possibility of internships and employment in the field.
Recruitment for Equity, Accessibility and Diversity (READY) is a program for Internationally Trained Professionals with a background in Human Resource and Recruitment to integrate into commensurate employment in Canada in the recruitment sector. It also prepares skilled immigrants in industries that are in low demand in COVID and post-COVID economy to transfer their skills and experience into employment in this area. The program will be delivered in partnership with George Brown College and Ares Staffing. It offers newcomers an opportunity to gain knowledge of the Canadian workplace, provides access to mentorships and the possibility of internships and employment in the field.
We are looking for a detail orientated, organized team player that administrative support for both bridge training programs working with the program employment counsellors/facilitators, manager and workforce specialist.
The incumbent in this role will be responsible for tasks, including, but not limited to:
• Conduct program and centralized intake for potential clients
• Arrange and deliver information sessions for Internationally trained Professionals
• Assist with workshop material preparation, set up equipment for presentations and provide technical support for online sessions
• Help maintain and manage various client databases. Set up, maintain and file client records in EOIS CAMS as requested. Prepare rosters of clients as needed
• Manage excel spreadsheets, monitor data and provide analysis to managers as needed. Produce statistical reports
• Assist with organizing appointments, orientations, and workshops
• Provide front desk/ reception duties and customer service to all clients, employers and visitors
• Provide clerical support, including editing and formatting reports, preparing and completing agency and government forms, word processing of correspondence, reports and other materials, filing, and photocopying
• Assist with organizing events, outreach activities, etc.
Flexible hours / evenings / weekends may be required for this position.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
• High school education; Diploma or Certificate in Administration preferred
• 2 years of administrative experience
• Excellent administrative, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
• Computer literate with the ability to learn systems used by the agency (ie. EOIS, CaMS, SalesForce); Proficient in Microsoft Office
