CAMP LEADER SUMMER STUDENT (40 positions)

Salary Range: $16.78 - $17.80/hour as per Schedule “B”

As a Summer Camp Leader you will contribute to a positive, fun and memorable camp experience for kids aged 4-12. Working with an amazing team, you'll lead campers in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities designed to make them smile.Responsibilities
- Responsible for the direct supervision and safety of summer camp participants (ensuring rules are followed, regular headcounts etc.),
- Demonstrate activities including crafting, sports and songs and support campers' participation,
- Clean up of activity stations including sweeping, wiping down tables, putting away supplies,
- Provide first aid to minor injuries (band aids, ice packs).
- Minimum Grade 10 and must be returning to secondary or post-secondary school full-time.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions; sun, heat, AC, windstorms, sometimes cooler than usual pool temperatures and be physically able to perform duties.
- Must have or be willing to obtain Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification
- Must have or be willing to obtain Principles of Healthy Child Development
- Must have or be willing to obtain Safeguard Certification
- Scheduled 32 to 40-hour work week, which will include weekends and alternate shift hours.
- Will be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
- May be required to work overtime.
