partner staffing on behalf of our Client, we are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of mechanical systems HVAC, Plumbing and Fire in commercial, institutional, mix-use and industrial building projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent project management skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.


Requirements

on behalf of our Client, we are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of mechanical systems HVAC, Plumbing and Fire in commercial, institutional, mix-use and industrial building projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent project management skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, in commercial, institutional, industrial and mixed-use building projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Ensure mechanical designs comply with local building codes, standards, and sustainable building practices.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead regular project meetings to update stakeholders and address project challenges.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with construction teams during installation, commissioning, and final project handover.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • CET or Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or equivalent is an asset.
  • 2+ years of project management experience in commercial building mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
  • REVIT is mandatory
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and sustainable construction practices (e.g., LEED certification).
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is an asset.
