Southern Irrigation is actively looking for a Full-Time Sales Sales Counter/Logistics Associate for our Medicine Hat, AB location. The successful candidate should excel in customer service, have attention to detail, have good communication skills, and a positive attitude.

Job Title: Sales Counter/Logistics Associate

Location: 1566 Gershaw Dr SW, Medicine Hat, AB

Job purpose:This positions primary responsibilities include increasing sales and profitability through the provision of quality customer service and retail sales and work as part of the Logistics team to ensure the needs of Shipping and Receiving are met to the highest standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and couriers and deliver personalized attention to each, always providing the best in quality service and value
• Process POS transactions and payments
• Maintain a clean and presentable retail space and stock shelves
• Gather and package customer orders, will-call orders, and inter-location transfer orders
• Track shipments as needed
• Operate forklift to load/unload pipe, septic tanks, filter fabric rolls, etc.
• Assist with warehouse and yard orders including but not limited to:
  • Loading and unloading customers and stock deliveries
  • Pulling and checking orders
  • Verifying incoming shipments for accuracy
  • Band pipes together
• Accept deliveries in yard and receive incoming POs and transfers
• Clear snow, mow lawns, and aesthetically maintain the building and landscaping
