Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and pro-active Vice President for our Civil Division to join our leadership team. This key leadership role will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, operational excellence, and profitability of the Civil Division. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the local civil construction industry, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of successfully managing civil projects of varying size and type.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic vision and operational plans for the Civil Division, aligning with the overall objectives of the company.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the divisions financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, ensuring profitability and sustainability.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the efficient delivery of civil projects by enhancing processes, establishing best practices, and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners, enhancing the companys reputation and market position.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets for growth, actively participating in the development of proposals and negotiations.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies, promoting a culture of safety at all levels.

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary Education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the construction industry, with a focus on private sector civil projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

The base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $220,000 CAD per year and represents Mainlands hiring range for this position. Actual compensation will be based on various factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications for the role. Additionally, this position may be eligible for profit-sharing.
