The ROLE

As a ROCK Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing assessment and treatment services to children, youth, and families. Your passion for therapeutic intervention, skills development, and psycho-education will drive your work in individual, family, and group settings. You will coordinate cases, advocate for clients, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care. Additionally, you will contribute to program development, supervise students, ensure accurate documentation, and uphold client safety standards. This position is a permanent full-time role (35 hours weekly) allowing you to make a significant impact in the Halton community.

Who were looking for:

  • A relevant masters degree from a recognized university.
  • Registration with an accrediting professional body is required (i.e. College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Psychologists of Ontario, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario).
  • A minimum of three years clinical experience in family, individual, and parent-child therapy, as well as some experience leading groups. It is expected that this experience will have included appropriate supervision.
  • Relevant knowledge and skill in the assessment and treatment of children, youth, and families that are encountering mental health issues.
  • practice or training in one or more of the following skill areas:
    • Providing group treatment OR facilitating parent events.
    • CBT, and/or trauma assessment skills.
    • Working across the age continuum using clinical frames, such as systemic family therapy, attachment, and developmental lenses.
  • Proficient in the use of technology as required of the position, including working in a virtual environment with MAC OS operating systems experience preferred.
  • Current (within three months) criminal reference check with vulnerable sector search.
