Role Overview:

As an Audit Manager, you'll manage client accounts, deliver high-quality audit and assurance services, and act as a trusted advisor. This role goes beyond traditional audit work: you'll play a key part in shaping and nurturing the next generation of talent within the firm, focusing on comprehensive training and professional development for team members. This unique blend of responsibilities ensures that your work will have a lasting impact on both clients and colleagues alike.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage audit engagements, including planning, budgeting, and reporting, to ensure quality outcomes and compliance with firm and regulatory standards.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a primary contact for audit clients and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Lead and mentor junior and senior auditors, fostering a culture of growth and learning through hands-on training, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to identify training needs, develop learning resources, and deliver training sessions that improve technical skills and industry knowledge.
  • Stay current with Canadian accounting and audit standards, and ensure team members are up-to-date on relevant changes in legislation, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Assist with business development by identifying opportunities to expand services within existing client portfolios and establishing new client relationships.
Key Requirements:
  • Must hold a Canadian CPA designation
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive audit experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of Canadian accounting and audit standards, regulatory requirements, and industry practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and motivate high-performing teams, with a proven track record in training and mentoring audit professionals.
  • Exceptional client management skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
