SCHEDULING MANAGER – CALGARY OFFICE
With approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (“JBS Canada”) is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.
JBS Food Canada is seeking an experienced, ambitious and highly motivated Scheduling Manager to join its dynamic team to be based in Brooks or Calgary, AB. The role reports to the head of sales, pricing and scheduling.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage, train and develop Brooks Plant Schedulers – fab, trim, ground beef and offal;
- Work with Program Managers on program mix strategy;
- Work with Pricing teams on mix and product allocation;
- Work closely with plant and corporate procurement for cattle mix and forecasts;
- Manage daily cattle inventory to provide optimal balance between kill and fab, and maintain data used to drive system generated reporting and schedules;
- Grade and programs Forecast;
- Work with Senior management team to create and maintain records of Run Plans for Business;
- Manage substitutions on customer orders and keep sales force informed of all changes in order contents or status;
- Manage product rotation with plant personnel to eliminate dated product related issues/costs;
- Work hand in hand with plant production leaders and plant schedulers to coordinate production limits and actuals that feed production schedules and availability reporting;

- Provide coverage for plant schedulers in case of their absence;
- Meet KPI's for Order Fill, Make Sheet Accuracy;
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Agri-Business, Meat Science, Business, Marketing, or Animal Science preferred;
- Experience in Scheduling and Demand Planning, Production, and/or Analytics Preferred;
- Strong communication, computer and decision-making skills;
- Strong Leadership skill to manage a team;
- Detailed oriented and strong mufti-tasking skills;
- Above average Microsoft Office skills;
- Good understanding of logistics, and the need for Demand Planning;
- Management/Supervisory experience considered an asset;
- Strong data analysis skill with attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary commensurate with experience.
