Salary Range: $23.50 /hour as per Schedule “B”

Our Camp Team Leader is responsible for the direct supervision of summer camp staff. You will help with the coordination of activities, breaks and offer a listening ear or shoulder to cry on as needed. If you love a good bus ride, going for a hike and singing camp songs, this role might be just what you're looking for this summer.Responsibilities
  • Direct supervision of summer camp staff and assist with scheduling breaks, training,
  • Follow the City of Woodstock's Policies and Procedures,
  • Oversee the delivery of the camp program at various program sites,
  • Supporting campers and staff as needed (includes tying shoes, singing songs and wiping away tears),
  • Ensure quality camp programming and can complete QUEST 2 program evaluations in line with HIGH FIVE quality standards,
  • Be responsible for the direct supervision of camp participants.
QualificationsEssential:
  • Attending high school or University/College in a related field and must be returning to school full-time.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and be physically able to perform duties.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Principles of Healthy Child Development, HIGH FIVE- Quest II
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Safeguard Certification
  • Must have Class G2 Ontario Driver's License in good standing and access to a vehicle
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children in a camp and/or youth program area an asset
Preferred:
  • Experience supervising staff
Working Conditions
  • Scheduled 30 to 40-hour work week, which may include weekends and alternate shift hours.
  • Will be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • May be required to work overtime.
