Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a 2nd Miller for our Milling division based in Hamilton, ON.P&H MillingP&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.
From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, Hamilton, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.Wage and BenefitsWage: $30.89 per hour

Your RoleReporting to the Head Miller, the incumbent will mainly be responsible for transferring bulk loads, loading bulk flour tankers and assisting daily operations of the mill.Day to Day

• Prepare and load flour tankers to ship to customers.
• Transfer and blend flour meeting specified recipe requirements.
• Coordinate with Logistics Manager and truck drivers to organize and prepare daily outgoing orders.
• Work effectively in a food processing environment with high standards for production quality.
• Ensure good manufacturing practice, hazardous awareness critical control point and Company policies and procedures are followed.
• Participate during heat treatment, cleaning, sifter, and sieve maintenance.
• Perform daily tasks, checks and monitoring according to guidelines set out by the Head Miller.
• Complete work orders for mill shutdowns, monthly inspection items, corrective action reports requirements and scheduled tasks.
• Complete required inspection reports and work orders accurately.
• Cleaning duties as required, shared with millers daily cleaning schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Previous experience in manufacturing considered an asset.
• Food Safety experience and knowledge is considered an asset.
