About Golds Gym Port Coquitlam
Boasting an expansive 3 stories located just off of Lougheed Highway - This location features floor to ceiling windows in the main gym, fully equipped women's only area, private training area, over 20 group classes per week, functional turf area and a fully stocked smoothy/supplement bar.

We are searching for a NEW TEAM LEADER! With room to grow!
What we need from you
  • Service driven with an enthusiastic attitude.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid First Aid certification an asset.
  • Fluent in English - Ability to speak other languages an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cash handling / previous experience with POS terminals.
  • Ability work both alone and in groups.
  • Critical thinking / problem solving skills.
  • Must be willing to ask questions and make mistakes.
  • Must have reliable transportation (important for openers and closers due to limited bus services)
Time of Work - Must be available Sunday - Thursday Evenings.
  • Must be available after 12pm until 11:15pm (closing) week days. And 12pm until 8:15pm Sundays.
  • Training shifts may be early mid day for the first 5-7 days of employment.
  • Mandatory training shifts located at in Langley or Vancouver during on-boarding.
  • No extended time off will be permitted from December - April.
Key Responsibilities
  • Completed all Customer Service on-boarding training.
  • Works closely with Facility Management to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed in detail at the front desk.
  • Assists with all basic leadership tasks including administrative and clerical.
  • Ensures proper upkeep of facility cleanliness / equipment and ensures all tracking is completed by team.
  • Acts professionally and maturely while handing member issues / concerns.
  • Promptly ensure that customer inquiries are resolved professionally and thoroughly via telephone, e-mail and in person encounters.
  • Ensure proper record keeping / notes and communications regarding issues / concerns and club events are kept and communicated to club leaders.
  • Assist other leaders with schedule management to ensure proper coverage of the facility.
  • (Front Desk Leaders are required to assist with shift coverage as needed).
  • Greet members and guest enthusiastically to encourage a positive culture at the club.
  • Monitor member check-ins / Check-in guests ensuring all policies and processes are completed in full.
  • Ensure that guests and appointments are directed to the appropriate employee/department in a prompt, professional manner.
  • Efficiently and effective input and update daily cash reconciliation documents
  • Process point of sale items, such as retail and concession sales.
  • Ensures all closing procedures are completed daily - and facility is cleaned and secured - ready for the morning opening team.
  • Assist the sales team with handling guests / touring and presenting member pricing as needed.
  • Assist sales team with completing membership agreements as needed.
  • Works closely with sales team and other leaders to ensure proper communication and enforcement of club rules and policies for members and guests while working out.
