Footprints Security is seeking an experienced and energetic administrative and operational professional to join our Head Office Team in Nanaimo in the Security Operations and Communications Centre (SOCC) position.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be flexible and available for all shifts including night shift, mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to provide after hours on-call support for staff on occasion
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in dispatching
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Security knowledge preferred
  • Valid BC Drivers License
  • A Criminal Record Check is required

General Responsibilities

  • Perform and monitor dispatch duties; excellent phone communication, scheduling employees, taking short-notice service requests, responding to questions, and initiating appropriate responses to requests
  • Complete a variety of complex and detail-oriented administrative tasks in support operations
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute various reports both internally and externally
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic file systems and operational equipment inventories
  • Complete data entry in a timely and accurate manner
  • Follow-up with and act as a liaison with various individuals, both internally and externally, at all levels of the organization with the highest level of customer service
