Reporting to the Financial Controller, the AP Clerk is primarily responsible for preparation and review of payable transactions. The successful candidate will be an individual with a strong accounting background, an analytical and critical thinking focus who can work with individuals across multiple disciplines to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accurate and timely processing of invoices, ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and resolve payment discrepancies where needed
  • Review and approve payment batches, ensuring proper coding and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reconcile accounts payable records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate regular reports and analysis on accounts payable activities, presenting findings to senior management as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific requirements.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in accounting is preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in core accounting processes is preferred.
  • Experience in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn, grow and develop in the role and into the future.
