Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated .NET Developer with a passion for working with and modernizing existing products. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with .NET technologies, a strong understanding of best practices for maintaining and improving an established codebase, and ideally has experience with mapping solutions. This role requires a balance of technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Code Maintenance & Enhancement: Analyze, maintain, and improve our existing 10-year-old .NET codebase, ensuring it remains efficient, reliable, and scalable.
  • Mature System Modernization: Identify opportunities for refactoring and modernizing legacy code to improve performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Feature Development: Design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities in line with business requirements.
  • Bug Fixing & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code changes, system architecture, and development processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Code Reviews: Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to established standards.
  • Best Practices: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, integrating them into our development processes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in .NET development.
    • Proven experience working with and modernizing mature codebases.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Framework.
    • Experience with SQL Server and database design.
    • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Knowledge of modern .NET technologies (e.g., .NET Core, ASP.NET Core) is a plus.
    • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to exceptional quality.
    • Above average work ethic and professional maturity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of micro-services architecture.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
