Founded in 2000, Rome is a third-party logistics (3PL) company dedicated to providing customized solutions that help companies and carriers optimize their supply chain operations, significantly improving service quality, rates, and speed to market. With offices across Kitchener, London, GTA, and Winnipeg, we are experiencing rapid growth, creating limitless opportunities for career expansion.

This is anin-officeposition. Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Manage a Portfolio: Build your own book of business through proactive B2B cold calling and client outreach.
  • Client Engagement: Follow up with both new and existing clients, offer tailored freight solutions, and close deals.
  • Business Prospecting: Continuously identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth.
  • Rate Negotiation: Effectively negotiate rates with freight carriers to secure competitive pricing for clients.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Operations Management and Logistics Coordinators to exceed client needs and expectations.

Key Attributes:

  • Education and Experience: Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity in Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Client Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Motivation and Attitude: Highly driven, self-motivated, and proactive with a go-getter mindset.
