Utherverse Digital, Inc. is a software development company whose focus is Virtual Worlds: places where people can come together from all over the world to meet, play, and learn; building their own communities without ever having to leave their home. Our small, international team has worked hard to create a big worldwide community of people from all walks of life.

We are working on a very high-profile platform backed by large industry partners. This platform is already deployed in limited availability. Base functions and services are operational, and the project is supported by a team with industry-leading experience in virtual world and metaverse development.

Who Are You?

A system infrastructure wizard with a preference for Linux and open source solutions, who understands and adapts to business needs strategically. Buzzwords aside, we need someone who can take some of the load off the person already doing this job, because theyve been collecting duties from various positions for so long its become impossible for them to do everything on their plate.

• Linux System Expertise

• • • Advanced proficiency in Linux OS (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, etc.).
    • Expertise with Kali Linux for penetration testing, ethical hacking, and security auditing.
    • Shell scripting and automation (bash, awk, sed).
    • System performance monitoring and tuning using tools like top, htop, and `iotop.

• Networking and Security

• • • Expertise in VPN (Virtual Private Networks), SSH, secure tunneling, and firewalls (specifically Wireguard).

• Virtualization and Automation

    • A good understanding on Virtualization fundamentals and backup strategies for VMs
    • Proficiency with Docker and Podman for containerized environments, and ability to read, understand and create docker compose files from scratch.

This is a full-tim position with a flexible schedule, and will start with an in-office or hybrid schedule with the option to switch to remote once youre acclimated to the work. One of our products is an adult game, so applicants must be comfortable working around adult content and be of legal age to do so.

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 negotiable based on experience, ability, and preferred number of hours per week.
