Position Overview
The Controller will be responsible for managing all financial and accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. This role requires a strategic leader with a keen eye for detail and an ability to drive financial efficiency and compliance within the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on financial performance and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
- Develop financial forecasts and models to support business planning and strategy.
- Internal Controls & Compliance
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including GAAP and SOX.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain internal controls and minimize financial risk.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support company growth and operational efficiency.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills, with a proven track record of developing and motivating teams.
